Hello there. It is wonderful to know that you’re visiting my site and taking the time to view my work.
As you’ve probably discovered I’m a professional photographer who specialises in capturing real people and life’s greatest moments. I’m passionate about making a connection with those I work with and put heart and soul into everything I photograph. I’m inspired by life and what I see through my lens, and have been told by those that I’ve photographed that I have a natural gift in capturing beauty in just about any given situation and really representing my subjects naturally and honestly.
My love of photography began when I was in college and subsequently turned into a successful career within a few years. I’ve travelled the world over and covered numerous destination weddings, portraits, boudoir shoots and ongoing personal photography projects. My business has sky rocketed in the past 18 months, and I now proudly hold numerous award-winning photography titles, I am a training partner for one of the UK’s most prestigious photography schools and regularly contribute at photography seminars and forum discussions as an established professional photographer.
Behind the scenes I am wife to my better half, David – my soulmate and rock who shares my business vision and love and passion for photography. David is my business partner and second shooter, and is really good at carrying my bag too. Together we make up Gemma Lovett-Hume Photography.
If being photographed feels like a daunting experience, it needn’t be and I’d love to be given the opportunity and privilege to show you just how beautiful you can be in camera and in print. It’s a skill and an art to give someone the confidence to be themselves in front of the lens and capture the very essence that makes them who they are, which is why I am proud to call myself a professional photographer. My goal is to ensure that your portraits are a true representation of you, with breathtaking products to hold onto and treasure your big milestones and moments for many years to come.
I’d love to get to know you a little better and find out what is important to you when being photographed or even offer any advice you may be after – so do get in touch for an informal chat. Until then, feel free to take a browse through my portfolio and blog to see what we’ve been up to.
Much love, Gemma
